At first sight, the watch appears to be symmetrical like most common watches. A closer look reveals the asymmetrical character of the design, a feature which makes the watch unique.
Through the asymmetrical placing of the orange hands, a non-conventional image of time is created. The time can be read from the location of the tip of the hour hand in relation to the dial, in stead of the direction of the hands.
The second hand is not merely an indicator of the seconds. The convex red circle with the imprinted white cross creates a recognizable mark of the Mondaine brand in the center of the watch.
