Private home Ypenburg
This large house in Ypenburg has a plan which is freely interpretable. Characteristics include a stairwell, which is situated centrally and diagonally on the floor plan, an entrance on the long side, a terrace on the second floor and big rooms. The client asked for a furnishing proposal in which intimacy, child friendliness, (multi-) functionality and transparency were paramount.
By keeping the basic materials and colours neutral, applying loose closets and making use of multifunctional furniture, the house can easily be adapted to any future wishes of the occupants. The wishes and needs of the children, as they grow bigger, can also be anticipated.
