Delft University, Faculty of Technical Physics
The secretarial offices of the Faculty of Technical Physics are located in one of the wings of Delft University of Technology's largest building. This department houses various offices, amongst others, that of the dean, the secretary and the secretariat. The client required a design for an interior that was open-plan in structure. The corridor, which was originally situated between the columns, has been transformed into a sort of indoor "courtyard" that provides space for various facilities, such as a kitchen, photocopying area, consultation table and reception area. The liberal use of glass gives the wing a clear, light atmosphere.
